Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Should I Wear?

    • Less than 50 degrees: Trips will be canceled with 100% refunds provided.
    • 50 to 70 degrees: Guests will be provided with wetsuits, fleece base layers, and nylon splash protectors. Neoprene socks are provided, and bringing non-cotton socks is recommended.
    • 70 to 80 degrees: Fleece base layers and nylon splash protectors will be available.
    • Above 80 degrees: Typical swimwear is suitable.
    • Footwear: Water shoes with straps are recommended; flip-flops are not allowed. Bring a wide-brim hat for sun protection.
  • Should We Bring A Towel?

    Bringing a towel may result in it getting wet. Leave a towel in your car for drying off afterward.

  • Is it ok if I can't swim?

    All paddlers are welcome regardless of swimming ability. Personal floatation devices (PFDs) are provided for everyone's safety.

  • Should I bring goggles?

    Goggles are optional. While they can be nice to have, they aren't necessary for the trip.

  • Do you accept tips?

    Gratuities for our hardworking guides are appreciated but not mandatory. Feel free to show your appreciation based on the service provided.

  • We Are Locals, Should We Use an Outfitter?

    Outfitters offer convenience and reduce the hassle of gear management such as including shuttle logistics. Using an outfitter ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience without the burden of equipment maintenance. Additionally, outfitters often contribute to environmental preservation and community engagement efforts.

  • Do you do Rentals?

    All our trips are guided but we do rent drysuits so you can use any river in Idaho and beyond!
